Cost of Marriage in England & Wales in a Register Office

By Superintendent Registrars Certificate - £94.00

The above amount includes a fee of £34.00 for the Registrar to be present on your wedding day.

Cost of Marriage in England & Wales in an approved venue
(i.e. Hotel, Stately Home etc)

By Superintendent Registrars Certificate - £60

Two extra costs will be incurred as follows:

• A fee will be payable for the attendance of the Superintendent Registrar/Registrar on your wedding day. The fee will vary from register office to register office , so it would be beneficial to find out the cost beforehand.

• The cost of hiring the approved venue. For the ceremony, it is advisable to check with the owner what charges will be incurred.

Cost of Marriage in the Church of England or Church of Wales

Information about fees can be obtained from the Vicar of the Church in which you choose to marry.

Cost of Marriage in a religious building
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following charges exclude marriage in the Church of England & Wales.

By Certificate of Superintendent Registrar - £60.

Please note that an extra cost will be paid for the attendance of the Registrar at the marriage unless an authorised person who is appointed by the trustees of the building has agreed to register your marriage.

Additional fees may also be charged by the following:
• The trustees of the building
• The person who performs the ceremony
It is advisable to check beforehand.

The Marriage Certificate
